Valve Technician II - Field/Shop

Are you an experienced Valve Technician eager to demonstrate your expertise in valve maintenance and repair? As a Valve Technician II, you will operate in both field and workshop settings, taking on the responsibility of executing comprehensive overhauls and assessments of various valves from leading manufacturers.

General Overview

We are in search of a Valve Technician capable of efficiently conducting troubleshooting and testing activities in diverse environments. Your responsibilities will include ensuring a secure working atmosphere, complying with safety regulations, performing valve repairs, and engaging with clients directly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Uphold a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to established safety protocols
  • Fulfill assigned tasks while embodying the company's core principles
  • Execute block valve repairs in accordance with quality standards
  • Communicate directly with clients to address their needs
  • Independently manage valve repair operations
  • Ensure all testing and repair documentation complies with quality system requirements
Qualifications
  • Preferred education: high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant industry experience
  • Completion of Manufacturer Training Courses is advantageous
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% as required
Work Environment
  • Position based at a branch or site location
  • Field responsibilities include both indoor and outdoor tasks in industrial settings
  • Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and clients
  • Work in proximity to production machinery with elevated noise levels
  • Proficient in safety protocols and utilization of required safety gear
  • Potential for travel to multiple job sites within a single day
  • Adaptability to varying climate conditions and occasional out-of-town assignments
Physical and Mental Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
  • Willingness to walk and climb as necessary
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Manual dexterity for routine office tasks
  • Mobility for office responsibilities and off-site travel
  • Comfortable working in refinery environments and on elevated platforms
  • Strong focus and multitasking capabilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
