About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Health Solutions team as a Business Development Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and developing strategic relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Grow client relationships through excellent service and expanding the types of services delivered to the client
  • Manage ongoing client relationships and internal consulting teams
  • Perform advanced strategy and design consulting, including benefit strategy, goal setting, benchmarking, plan design, pricing strategy, bid/selection projects, health plan management, wellness, and leading-edge program approaches
  • Results/Outcomes Measurement
  • Provide client leadership focused on broader business objectives
  • Delegate responsibilities effectively; coach and mentor team members
  • Build relationships with clients across multiple levels of their organization
  • Understand clients' business
  • Build relationships with Account Executives and team leads from other practices, particularly in administration, to drive shared client objectives
  • Analyze scoping needs
  • Develop business plans and integrated work plans across practices
  • Exhibit leadership in business judgment in anticipating client/project needs and developing alternative solutions
  • Lead/facilitate complex client meetings to measurable results
  • Form effective teams, share client background and goals, measure results, share ideas, identify process improvements, provide timely and regular coaching and feedback to team members
  • Oversee vendor negotiations and provide technical coaching to other team members
  • Act as a strategic resource for consultants
  • Exhibit thought leadership—understand and be able to articulate ideas to clients
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 10+ years of Health and Benefits background
  • Consulting experience (10+ years)
  • Client-facing experience at a consulting company, insurance company, brokerage, or in the Health and Benefits discipline
  • Complex project management experience
  • Broad business knowledge/perspective
  • Team building skills
  • Business development experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
  • Active Health & Life license

The salary range for this position is $102,000.00 to $150,000.00 annually, and the actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
