Position Overview: The New England Board of Higher Education is seeking a dedicated Research Fellow specializing in Wireless Biomedical Technologies and Antenna Systems. This role is designed for individuals passionate about advancing the field of biomedical sensing through innovative research and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct cutting-edge research focused on the design and implementation of wireless sensing technologies.
- Develop miniaturized micro-nano-devices utilizing meta-materials for noninvasive monitoring of biological systems.
- Design and optimize implantable and wearable antenna systems, along with transmitter and receiver units.
- Engage in research pertaining to wireless power transfer, sensing applications, and magnetic resonance imaging.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance communication and data transmission methods.
Qualifications:
Required: Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in electrical/electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, materials science, bioengineering, or a related discipline. A robust understanding of electromagnetism, antenna design, RF circuit design, and wireless communication is essential. Experience in wireless sensing, energy harvesting, and magnetic resonance imaging is also required.
Preferred: Familiarity with nanofabrication techniques, a background in solid-state physics, and experience with in-vivo research methodologies will be advantageous.
