Product Engineer

Job Overview

We are a leading infrastructure safety company seeking a motivated engineer to join our product management team. In this role, you will work closely with our customer-facing teams, engineering department, and manufacturing division to provide technical expertise on our products, assist with product modifications and improvements, and help optimize our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical product support by preparing and delivering technical information to customers and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with customer-facing teams to understand client requirements and offer engineering insights during client interactions.
  • Assist in modifying and customizing products to meet specific customer needs.
  • Work with R&D teams on new product development initiatives.
  • Analyze manufacturing processes and recommend improvements for efficiency and quality.
  • Create technical documentation and training materials for internal teams and customers.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and competitor offerings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, materials, or related field) or an associate's degree with equivalent experience.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn complex products.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Basic understanding of customer relationship management.
  • Proficiency in CAD, SolidWorks, other engineering software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM systems and customer support tools
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel for customer visits, training, or trade shows.

Desired Skills

  • Experience with a structured product design and/or manufacturing process.
  • Knowledge of traffic and/or industrial safety standards and regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
