  • Identify, manage, and promptly communicate any discrepancies.

The Senior Project Coordinator is an exempt salaried position reporting directly to the Director of Project Management. This role is not remote but offers flexibility for the right candidate.

Qualifications

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven expertise in project and construction management for complex capital initiatives within a 24/7 operational environment, ideally in airport baggage handling systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with government contracts.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of accounting, budgeting, funding, asset management, and resource planning.
  • Ability to apply knowledge holistically, considering systemic implications.
  • Experience mentoring less experienced staff.
  • Proficient in engaging with executive leaders, project stakeholders, and occasionally local, federal, and state officials.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Skilled in negotiation and conflict resolution with service providers, funding agencies, stakeholders, and sponsors.
  • Understanding of project schedules, estimates, contract documents, and engineering design and construction aspects.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple critical priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to foresee and mitigate operational conflicts.
  • Proficient in building personal relationships with team members, peers, and stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, civil, or structural).
  • 8-10 years of project management experience, particularly with government contracts.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint, Enterprise Projects, and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Ability to pass drug screenings.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Willingness to travel as project demands dictate.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • PMP certification.
  • Familiarity with large hub airport operations and relevant engineering or architectural disciplines (mechanical, electrical, security, baggage, etc.).
  • Experience with project control systems for budget, expense, resource planning, and management, as well as tracking project changes and schedules.
