Job Summary

Montgomery & Associates is seeking a highly skilled Hydrogeologist to join our team as a key member of our project team. As a hydrogeologist, you will be responsible for conducting field investigations, managing groundwater monitoring programs, and coordinating well permitting and drilling activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Field Investigations: Develop, manage, and execute field investigations, including soil gas, groundwater, and indoor air monitoring and sampling events.
  • Groundwater Monitoring: Manage routine groundwater monitoring programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Well Permitting and Drilling: Coordinate well permitting, drilling, design, construction, testing, sampling, rehabilitation, and abandonment activities.
  • Team Management: Manage M&A field teams and subcontractors, ensuring effective project execution.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Interact with regulatory agencies, municipalities, and water suppliers to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze data and prepare reports to support project decisions.
  • Training and Mentorship: Direct, train, and mentor junior staff to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in geology, hydrology, or engineering; graduate degree preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7 years of professional consulting experience, with a strong background in hydrogeology and remediation.
  • Professional Registration: Professional registration (P.G.) preferred.
  • Skills: Working familiarity with pumping tests, groundwater models, groundwater remediation technologies, and CERCLA regulations.
  • Additional Qualifications: Professional experience with vapor intrusion and indoor air investigations and remediation a plus; project management experience; effective communication skills, including technical writing and presenting technical work in large group settings.
