About the Opportunity

SWCA Environmental Consultants is seeking a Cultural Resources Technician to join our team in Arizona. This is a full-time, temporary, hourly position that will assist with cultural resources management work across the state.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct archaeological fieldwork, including pedestrian survey, site identification, and data collection.
  • Assist with cultural resource records searches, laboratory analysis, and other office work as needed.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in CRM can substitute for education requirements.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle background screening.
  • Ability to carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completed an archaeology Field School focusing on North American archaeological methods and cultural resources management.
  • Previous experience conducting archaeological fieldwork for CRM firms in the southwest.
  • Experience collecting field data using modern mobile technology.
