Mammography Technologist II

We are seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist II to join our team at Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital. As a key member of our direct patient care team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of routine and specialized mammograms, as well as quality controls as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Perform mammograms for both diagnostic and screening purposes, including biopsies and bone density exams.
- Assess, identify, and respond to patient needs for adjustment or intervention to optimize patient care, image quality, and patient experience.
- Modify technical factors to achieve desired imaging results and recognize complications and limitations associated with certain procedures.
- Provide direct assistance to physicians during diagnostic and interventional breast procedures, including assisting with sterile technique.
- Provide accurate explanations and instructions to patients and family members at an appropriate level utilizing verbal and non-verbal skills, terminology, and language.
- Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below in the Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations section.
- Three years' experience as a Mammography Technologist.
- Current certifications and licenses as required by the state and professional organizations.
- Basic computer knowledge and experience with multiple computer systems, including Hospital/Radiology Information Systems and Office software.
- Strong interpersonal and team player skills with all levels of the healthcare team and ability to deliver excellent customer service to all patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers.
This position is located at Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital, a 267-bed, full-service, acute-care hospital that offers a range of services, including mammography, breast care, and cancer treatment.
