About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to join our Global Cloud Platform team at Walmart Global Tech. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, planning, implementing, and maintaining private, public, and hybrid cloud network solutions and connectivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement cloud network architecture and develop action plans to improve existing infrastructure
  • Evaluate current cloud network architecture and develop strategies for migration to public cloud
  • Develop automation to support continuous delivery and continuous integration processes
  • Build effective monitoring, logging, and auditing of production systems to ensure compliance with mandated policies
  • Collaborate with Development and Operations teams to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment of infrastructure
Requirements
  • Skilled in hybrid cloud networking environments, including on-prem to public cloud networks
  • Experience with design, development, and delivery of software features and capabilities in an enterprise cloud-defined network software platform
  • Advanced working knowledge of one of the following languages: Go, Python, or other modern programming languages
  • Experience with building and deploying infrastructure via Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools
  • Prior experience developing or working with cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or OpenStack
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering or related area
  • Knowledge of accessibility best practices and experience implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards
