Key Responsibilities

Overview:

The Quality Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Director of Quality Management in executing the hospital's Quality Program. This includes the collection and analysis of data related to quality metrics, environmental safety, infection prevention, quality assurance, and risk management strategies. The position also involves participation in quality-focused meetings and teams, as well as assisting in the preparation of agenda items for necessary discussions.

The Quality Coordinator is also tasked with aiding in the implementation of the hospital's quality initiatives, ensuring readiness for surveys, and conducting root cause analyses.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid professional clinical license is mandatory.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure is required.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in rehabilitation or acute care settings is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a significant area of responsibility such as quality improvement, risk management, infection control, or survey preparedness is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with accreditation standards, including those set by TJC and CARF, is preferred.
