Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct focused assessments to evaluate patients' health status, comparing findings to established norms.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and Registered Nurses to coordinate psychiatric services.
  • Deliver care in a respectful manner, sensitive to the diverse backgrounds of patients and their families.
  • Perform medical interventions as directed by physicians, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Document patient information and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
  • Manage patient care through phone and in-person interactions, utilizing psychosocial and behavioral data.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Assist with medication management, including refills and patient education.
  • Monitor and respond to patient requests, assigning tasks to team members as appropriate.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
  • A diploma from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current LPN licensure in the state of Minnesota.
  • Preferred experience in psychiatric or mental health nursing within the last two years.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication abilities, both verbal and written.
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications, including EHR systems.
