About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant or LPN to join our team at PrairieCare, a leading psychiatric healthcare system in the Twin Cities and southern Minnesota.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide ancillary support in an outpatient psychiatric clinic by performing duties as delegated by the psychiatric nurse and/or provider.
  • Collaborate with the RN, LPN, and/or provider to coordinate psychiatric services for patients experiencing psychiatric/mental health disorders in the clinic setting.
  • Track and communicate pertinent medical and psychiatric information both verbally and through written documentation in EHR.
  • Perform duties assigned by physicians, nurse practitioners, RNs, and LPNs.
  • Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following operating guidelines, policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent required.
  • Completion of Medical Assistant or LPN program.
  • Certified Medical Assistant through AAMA preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a medical office required.
  • Previous mental health experience preferred.
