Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Technician to join our team at PrairieCare. As a Psychiatric Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children and adolescents experiencing psychiatric/mental health disorders.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and assist in mental health symptom management for patients ages 4-18.
  • Ensure patient safety by using a metal detector and safe belongings management/storage.
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment.
  • Complete documentation in a timely manner.
  • Plan and facilitate psychoeducational groups with patients when scheduled.
  • Provide a therapeutic and healing environment, promoting the best patient experience and care.

Requirements:
  • High school graduate required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in mental health, or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks appropriately.
