ResourceMFG is seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team in Randle, NC. As an Assembly Technician, you will play a critical role in the assembly of large mechanical components of a generator, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble mechanical components of a generator, including mounting and securing components to the skid.
- Connect exhaust parts and install them using correct hardware and meeting torque requirements.
- Make load cables using correct gauge cable, lug, and proper crimp.
- Read and understand electrical drawings of both house power and communication wiring, properly landing and labeling wiring in both TCC/ECC and house power panel.
- Install all phases of load cables, bend, install conduit, and assemble def pumps, solenoids, and complex def systems.
- 2-5 years of experience in assembly and mechanical work.
- Ability to measure to 1/16th of an inch and electrical wire and cable routing skills.
- Proficiency in using crimping tools, stripping tools, multimeters, and hand tools such as wrenches, ratchets, and torque wrenches.
- Ability to mark and tag components, wiring, and connections to identify circuits and assemblies.
- Ability to use power tools such as grinders, drills, and impact guns.
- Ability to read a tape measure and other measuring devices.
- Ability to read and execute electrical schematics and/or drawings, and engineering sketches.
- Ability to learn and understand torque values and how they correspond to components.
- Ability to learn to drill and tap holes, crimps, screws, bolts, rivets, mount control units, and to provide openings for elements, wiring, and instruments using hand and power tools, machines, and equipment.
- Ability to carefully check own work for correctness and completion as specified by instructions, drawings, and specifications.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to coordinate daily tasks with others to align priorities for smooth assembly operations.
