Houston Behavioral Healthcare Hospital is currently seeking a Full-time Intake Psych Registered Nurse to work on day and night shifts.


The Intake Nurse is responsible for ensuring the appropriate level of patient care and assessing the needs of walk-ins and phone callers to best address their requirements.


Daily Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough nursing assessments for inpatient and outpatient programs
2. Participate in medical emergencies and provide timely interventions
3. Conduct clinical assessments to identify patient needs and develop effective care plans
4. Manage medications and ensure accurate documentation
5. Demonstrate strong team leadership skills and crisis intervention techniques
6. Provide health education to patients and their families

Requirements:
1. Licensure: Licensed by the Texas Board of Nursing
2. Education: Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program
3. Experience: 1 year of experience in behavioral health and/or chemical dependency preferred
4. Certifications: CPR/CPI certification required within 30 days of hire date
