Job Summary

Amergis is seeking a highly skilled Virtual Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in a school setting. As a Virtual SLP, you will be responsible for providing speech and language therapy services to students remotely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Student Evaluations: Assess students' communication skills to identify communication disorders and develop recommendations for treatment.
  • Collaboration: Work with various groups and individuals to communicate information, resolve issues, and provide services in compliance with established guidelines.
  • Meeting Coordination: Coordinate meetings and processes for eligible students, including testing, IEPs, parent conferences, and pre-referral staffing.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop treatment plans, interventions, and educational materials to minimize the adverse impact of communication disorders.
  • Technology Instruction: Instruct eligible students in the use of communication technologies, such as hearing aids and augmentative communication devices.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate files and records, including progress reports, activity logs, and billing information.
  • Professional Development: Participate in meetings, workshops, and seminars to stay up-to-date on best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Speech and Language Therapy: Provide speech and language therapy services to students to minimize the adverse impact of speech and language disorders.
Requirements
  • Active SLP Licensure: Hold active Speech Language Pathologist licensure in the state of assignment.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence: Possess a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or meet state/contract requirements.
  • Professional Standards: Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice.
  • Education and Training: Meet federal, state, and local requirements, and complete new hire training as applicable to the job site.
  • Communication and Computer Skills: Possess strong communication skills, proficiency in the English language, and computer proficiency.
