Job Summary

The successful candidate will analyze complex software engineering problems to develop and implement innovative solutions, collaborating with our development team to design and develop new AR/VR capabilities integrating AR/VR tools with other simulation tools.

As a Software Engineer at SITEC Consulting LLC, you will formalize and document software interfaces, work with our System/Software Safety and Cyber detachment, and perform software requirements analysis, software design, software coding, software integration, and software testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze computer science, engineering, and other software engineering problems to develop and implement solutions
  • Perform software management and integration functions, improve existing computer systems, and review computer system capabilities, software architecture, throughput, real-time processing limitations, Cybersecurity, and software safety
  • Collaborate with other NAVAIR departments, including System/Software Safety and Cyber detachment, in the performance of duties
  • Design and develop new AR/VR capabilities integrating AR/VR tools with other simulation tools
  • Formalize and document software interfaces
Requirements

ACTIVE SECRET OR TOP SECRET CLEARANCE REQUIRED

BS or BA degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Engineering from a college program with ABET certification

At least 10 years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years of experience in performing software engineering functions for a DoD aircraft system, DoD weapons systems, Mission systems, or support systems

DoD 8570 certification requirements must be met, including an Operating System Certification in Windows or Linux and a Security+ce certification

Preferred Skills
  • Proficient in C# or similar object-oriented programming language
  • Experience with game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git
  • Familiarity with AWS or other cloud computing platforms
