Software Quality Assurance Intern

Location: Irvine, CA

Employment Type: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Compensation: $22-$24 per hour, based on experience

Duration: Summer Internship, up to 29 hours per week

Diality Inc is a pioneering medical device firm dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with kidney ailments. We are in the process of creating an innovative, adaptable, and portable hemodialysis system that empowers patients to manage their treatment independently, whether at home or on the go. Our advanced hemodialysis solution is designed to provide patients with the flexibility to adhere to their specific dialysis prescriptions in various settings, including healthcare facilities, without reliance on pre-prepared dialysate solutions or external water treatment systems.

Internship Role:

We are looking for a Software Quality Assurance Intern pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline. In this role, you will assist with software verification activities as required. This internship offers a unique opportunity to develop both technical and interpersonal skills while collaborating with seasoned engineers and gaining valuable insights into your career path.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the automation of testing processes utilizing Python/Qt.
  • Participate in test execution for both preliminary and formal assessments.
  • Conduct verification of identified software defects.
  • Review and revise testing protocols to ensure alignment with software specifications.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficient in Python programming.
  • Familiarity with both Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git and project management tools like Jira.
  • Exhibits a strong capacity for rapid learning and self-direction.

  • Willingness to learn and adhere to guidance.
  • Team-oriented, organized, and detail-focused.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python.
  • Experience working in both Windows and Linux environments.

Work Environment:

  • Onsite position in Irvine Office.
  • Availability for up to 29 hours per week.

Travel Requirements:

  • No travel is anticipated for this role.
