As a vital member of our team at Steve's Cafe, the Guest Services Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This position involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at enhancing the dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcoming Guests: Greet visitors warmly at the entrance, establishing a friendly rapport through eye contact and a genuine smile.
  • Seating Arrangements: Efficiently seat guests in a timely manner, ensuring a smooth flow to prevent overwhelming the staff.
  • Menu Management: Maintain and restock menus, coloring sheets, and other essential items, while also updating the Specials Board with daily offerings.
  • Order Handling: Accurately process cash transactions and manage credit card procedures, ensuring precise change is given.
  • To-Go Orders: Assist in preparing and confirming takeout orders, ensuring accuracy in each request.
  • Service Support: Collaborate with servers to enhance service efficiency and guest satisfaction, including assisting in beverage service and food delivery when necessary.
  • Table Maintenance: Clear dirty dishes and utensils between courses, reset tables promptly, and assist in returning items to the dishwashing area as needed.
  • Cleaning Duties: Conduct regular floor scans, picking up debris and vacuuming as required, while completing closing side work and daily cleaning tasks thoroughly.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Some high school education is preferred, with strong communication skills across diverse age groups.
  • Experience: Previous experience in food service is not required.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and move quickly for extended periods, lift and carry items weighing 40 pounds or more, and perform bending and stooping tasks.
