Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Patient Care Associate to join our team at Northwell Health. As a Patient Care Associate, you will provide direct care to patients, working closely with our healthcare team to ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction and care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient admissions and discharges, ensuring a smooth transition of care.
  • Establish and maintain good interpersonal relationships with patients, families, and hospital staff.
  • Communicate vital information to the healthcare team, ensuring timely and effective care.
  • Perform direct patient care, including vital sign monitoring, specimen collection, and phlebotomy.
  • Assist with emergency situations, working as a team member with guidance from supervisory personnel.
  • Perform activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding patients.
  • Use proper body mechanics and equipment to lift, move, and transfer patients safely.
  • Perform delegated patient care procedures, including EKGs and telemetry.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Nursing Assistant Certificate with proficiency in EKG and phlebotomy required.
  • Minimum one year of direct patient care experience required.
