The Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our School Age, Before and Aftercare program site. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating a safe, caring, and enriching environment for all children, while ensuring that YMCA policies and Licensing standards are met.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate attendance records and ensure the safety of all children enrolled in the program.
- Lead and manage the day-to-day duties of group leaders and assistants, including planning and implementing weekly curriculum and activities.
- Coach and guide staff to provide positive role models and set a positive example through their behavior.
- Address any staff performance issues and provide specific input/feedback for performance reviews.
- Promote Y programs and camps to families and assist with planning and implementation of special events.
- High School Diploma, Associate/Bachelor's Degree in Education, Youth work, Recreation or related preferred or equivalent experience.
- One to three years supervisory experience and one to three years experience working with youth in a group setting in Before/Afterschool programs.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate with all levels, and problem-solving skills.
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required.
