Branch Manager

The Branch Manager plays a critical role in the success of our organization by overseeing the day-to-day operations of the branch. This includes managing staff, ensuring timely completion of assigned duties, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include reviewing and approving hours worked, maintaining sales, communicating with customers, and driving continuous improvement processes. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership, coaching, and team-oriented skills, with the ability to apply sound judgment and make effective decisions.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee branch operations, including staffing and ensuring timely completion of assigned duties
• Review and approve hours worked and PTO using Kronos
• Maintain sales, including reviewing, editing, and processing credits and negative inventory
• Communicate regularly with customers to establish and maintain strong relationships
• Effectively coach, counsel, train, and develop employees
• Drive and implement continuous improvement processes
• Process purchase orders, research low stock, and process branch payables
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
• Oversee all aspects of profit center operations, working closely with the Credit Department
• Stay current with cycle counts and maintain a minimal level of dead stock
• Maintain ample levels of inventory to meet customer expectations
• Review P&L, hold safety meetings, and maintain facility
• Develop plans for increased branch profitability and productivity
• Build and maintain morale in the branch by demonstrating leadership qualities and setting an example for staff
• Develop employees' performance and skills with proper training and guidance
• Ensure all employees follow Mincron procedures
• Conduct mid-year and annual performance appraisals for direct reports
• Provide the Regional Operations Manager with requested branch-specific information and vital information in a timely manner
• Complete all tasks on the Branch Manager's monthly/daily checklist and act as a safety leader
• Conduct weekly safety committee meetings and complete Flash reports within the required timeline
• Ensure all company policies and procedures are communicated and followed
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Proactively maintain branch staffing, including working with the corporate recruiting team
• Maintain a 93% or higher audit score
• Be available outside regular working hours in case of emergencies
• Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
• 5 years of store/branch management experience
• 3 years of leadership/supervisory experience
• Experience in the HVAC wholesale industry strongly preferred
• High school diploma or GED equivalent, college degree strongly preferred
• Ability to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations
