We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Caregiver Assistant to join our team at Ebenezer. As a Resident Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing personal care and support to our senior residents, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with personal cares, including bathing, shaving, dressing, hair care, feeding, toileting, and transfers/lifts.
  • Under the direction of a Nurse, provide health-related services as needed, such as passing medication, glucose monitoring, temperatures, blood pressure, and pulse.
  • Perform duties that include laundry, cleaning, meal service, and assisting with activities.
  • Observe residents and report their status to appropriate staff.
  • Assist with onboarding new staff.

Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate effectively, with compassion and kindness for residents and coworkers, while working in a team setting.
  • Curiosity to work with a diverse and older population.
  • CNA certification if under 18.

Preferred Education/Experience/Skills:

  • High School diploma or GED or completion of a formal NA or HHA course.
