The City of New York is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Analyst to join the Department of Environmental Protection's Bureau of Water and Sewer Operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the bureau's capital and expense budget, processing orders and contracts, and ensuring compliance with DEP standards.

The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to performing tasks that impact all divisions bureau-wide. Key responsibilities include reviewing procurement submissions, providing guidance and feedback to project managers, maintaining close communication with BWSO Directors and Deputy Chiefs, and preparing purchase orders and payment packages.

The Procurement Analyst will also be responsible for navigating and updating information in various budget and procurement database systems, updating internal tracking sheets, and providing written and analytical reports to internal and external parties.

To be eligible for this role, candidates must have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and six months of satisfactory full-time professional experience in procurement of goods, services, construction, or construction-related services, or professional, technical, or administrative experience in contract negotiation/management.
