Job Summary:

Insight Global is seeking a skilled Robot Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing robots and related equipment at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair robots, controllers, electrical control devices, and peripheral equipment
  • Provide telephone-based support to customers to resolve operational problems
  • Document product and equipment performance and failure modes
  • Complete daily reports and service reports for each customer call
  • Maintain a service tool kit to facilitate rapid customer response
  • Return parts shipped for service calls but not purchased by the customer or defective parts replaced under warranty

Requirements:

  • Previous experience with robot troubleshooting and maintenance (preferably FANUC robots)
  • Ability to interpret electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic prints and related technical documentation
  • Ability to work safely and effectively within OSHA Laws
  • Able to work at customer sites with little direct supervision
  • Comfortable with heavy travel, overtime work, and 2nd and 3rd shift when needed on assignments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and interpret PLC ladder logic
  • Associate's Degree in an Applied Science or equivalent technical education
