Senior Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide engineering support and system administration for specialized cybersecurity applications and big data analytical systems
  • Manage infrastructure solutions deployed in AWS according to Security Guidelines
  • Collaborate with Database Administrators and DevOps teams to integrate AWS into various databases, applications, and services
  • Deploy, troubleshoot, and customize cloud resources using AWS Command Line Interface (CLI)
  • Design and document services based on COTS products using Agile development methodologies
  • Research and recommend new technologies to enhance performance and reduce costs
  • Assist with AWS technical designs and documentation
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field
  • DoD Directive 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher
  • Minimum of 5 years of technical experience
  • 3+ years of experience managing AWS infrastructure
  • Expertise in AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, etc.
  • Experience with Linux scripting, Docker, Kubernetes, and automation tools such as Puppet, Chef, and Ansible
  • Knowledge of JIRA, Git, and Confluence
  • Experience scripting against AWS CLI and strong debugging skills
  • Understanding of building scalable, distributed, and high-performance cloud environments
Preferred Qualifications:
  • AWS or other Cloud Based Certifications
  • Experience with custom visualizations, event streaming technologies, and JSON, NodeJS, AngularJS
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts and proposed solutions effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and in a team
  • Familiarity with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) Software
Security Clearance Requirements:
  • TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
