Position Overview:

As a Permanent Substation Technician, you will be a key player in our operations, ensuring the effective maintenance and functionality of our substation apparatus. Key Responsibilities:

In your role as a Permanent Substation Technician, your responsibilities will encompass:

1. Conducting routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on substation apparatus to guarantee peak performance and safety.
2. Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues in substation equipment and systems.
3. Aiding in the installation and commissioning of new substation apparatus.
4. Collaborating with the engineering team to execute enhancements and modifications to substation equipment and systems.
5. Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards in all tasks.
6. Responding swiftly to emergencies or faults within the substation.
7. Maintaining accurate documentation of all maintenance and repair activities.
8. Performing tests on substation equipment to verify proper functionality.
9. Utilizing SCADA systems for monitoring and managing substation equipment.
10. Offering technical guidance and support to fellow team members.

Qualifications:

To qualify for the position of Permanent Substation Technician, candidates should possess:

1. At least 5 years of experience as a Substation Technician or in a comparable role.
2. Demonstrated experience with SCADA systems.
3. A relevant technical certification (e.g., Electrical Engineering) is preferred.
4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in substation equipment and systems.
5. Excellent communication abilities, capable of simplifying complex technical concepts.
6. A solid commitment to safety and a comprehensive understanding of industry standards and regulations.
7. The capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively.
8. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel as necessary.
9. The ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
10. Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
