Power Equipment Shows and Events Coordinator

About This Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Power Equipment Shows and Events Coordinator to join our team at Honda North America. This role will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of shows and events, as well as handling PR activities for our Power Equipment and Engines product lines.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in power equipment or OEM experience, with a strong understanding of our products and market trends.
This position offers a competitive salary of $95,000 - $125,000 per year, depending on location and experience, plus an annual bonus, industry-leading benefits, paid time off, and a 401K plan with company match.

- Job Purpose: To support the department/division by coordinating and managing all aspects of shows and events, as well as handling PR activities for the Power Equipment and Engines product lines.
- Key Accountabilities:
- Budgeting, event planning, scouting, and reporting.
- PS&P media interaction - work with media outlets across endemic, social, and ambassadors to inform and promote Honda Power Equipment Products.
- At-event management - coordinate with vendors, influencers, and endemic media outlets.
- Logistics management - request and review transportation quotes from vendors, select and confirm the business, and organize pickups for units loaned to vendors.
- Department inventory management - plan and order units, ensure PE/Engine products arrive on time for shows/events, and provide support at PSP-related events.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
- Minimum Educational Qualifications: BA degree or equivalent power equipment/industry work experience.
- Minimum Experience: 5+ years power equipment experience or OEM experience required.
- Other Job-Specific Skills:
- Familiarity with power equipment and engines business and marketing, including overall product knowledge of the Honda line-up and competitors' products.
- Comfortable in a role that requires public speaking to large groups with expertise in our product categories.
- Prior event coordination/attendance/execution preferred.
- Great verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
