POSITION OVERVIEW
This role acts as a bridge between educational institutions and families, fostering parental and community participation in school initiatives.
The individual in this position will facilitate connections with TUSD services and external social service organizations, providing essential information to staff, students, and families as required.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
AND
Five (5) years of experience in public relations, social services, volunteer initiatives, or community outreach programs.
OR
Associate's degree in social sciences or a related discipline
AND
Three (3) years of experience in public relations, social services, volunteer initiatives, or community outreach programs.
Additionally, candidates must possess:
Proven knowledge and engagement with community services.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, along with the ability to comprehend written, graphic, and oral instructions.
Access to reliable transportation.
Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends as necessary.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Experience working with diverse populations and youth.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly regarded.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS POST-HIRE
Completion of an FBI fingerprint background check.
Verification of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR vaccination.
Possession of a valid Driver's License.
Motor Vehicle Report indicating no more than the allowable points against the Driver's License as outlined in
Governing Board Policy:

Reliable personal transportation with proof of insurance meeting or exceeding state minimum requirements for car insurance as described under

10-month calendar
Positions with fewer than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
