Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Cytotechnologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing screening and interpretation of all cytopathology samples, including fine needle aspirations and exfoliative non-gynecologic samples. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology and demonstrated knowledge of all aspects of a cytopathology department.
Key Responsibilities- Screen and interpret all cytopathologic samples, excluding intraoperative touch imprint evaluation cases.
- Provide assistance to clinicians/pathologists with the collection of specimens, predominately FNA's.
- Perform the required computer functions relevant to the cytology department, such as accessioning and resulting.
- Cytologic-histologic correlation of all available cytology samples.
- Florida state license in Cytology required.
- ASCP certification preferred.
- 3 years previous cytology experience preferred.
