Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and administer programs, strategies, and initiatives to support the department's mission and goals.
  • Manage and coordinate internal and external business activities, including accounting and finance, human resources, and facility management.
  • Develop and implement effective administrative systems and processes to ensure efficient departmental operations.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to departmental staff, including performance management, coaching, and professional development.
  • Collaborate with the Chair and senior department faculty to develop and implement strategic plans and operational decisions.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in administration, finance, and human resources.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience working in a higher education setting.
  • Knowledge of university policies and procedures.
  • Experience with Banner Finance, MyReports, Chrome River, E-Print, HR Reports, and Payroll systems.
  • Experience with contracts and grants administration.
