We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in the development and operation of our New Glenn launch vehicle.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development and execution of our systems engineering risk, issue, and opportunity processes.
- Work closely with engineering and program management teams to identify and manage risks, issues, and opportunities.
- Lead mitigation strategies and burndown plans to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Manage the risk database and facilitate risk review boards to ensure effective risk management.
- Coach team members through the risk process and provide guidance on risk management best practices.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, systems development, or systems integration.
- Ability to assimilate technical engineering information quickly and summarize concisely.
- Proven ability to develop and implement short-term and long-term strategies to mitigate risks to a program's technical requirements, assets, cost/schedule baselines, and safety.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusting and effective working relationships that improve team performance and deliver results.
- Highly adaptable in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment; able to thrive with ambiguity.
- Strong communication, organization, and analytical aptitude in support of enabling senior leadership to make informed, critical decisions.
- Capability to obtain wide system and program knowledge to convey complex system dependencies and impacts.
- Continual improvement mindset towards processes and tools.
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Tableau.
- 3+ years of direct Risk Management experience.
- Involvement with multiple portions of an aerospace product life cycle: R&D, Development, Production.
- Experience with aerospace vehicles or engines.
- Experience with Primavera (P6), Doors Next Gen, CREO, Windchill, Microsoft Suite.
We offer a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $120,060.00-$168,084.00, depending on location. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability, 401(k) with a company match of up to 5%, and an Education Support Program.
