Position Summary:

The Training and Development Team is a dynamic group focused on crafting programs that empower management to mentor our talented workforce. Our goal is to provide opportunities for learning, skill enhancement, and overcoming challenges. As the Training and Development Manager - ERP, you will partner with the VP of Talent and Culture and the Training and Development Team to unlock the full potential of our team members, instilling a passion for their roles.


This pivotal position involves collaboration across various departments to design, implement, and sustain training for our SAP S/4HANA system. The primary focus is on executing an effective training rollout for our new ERP platform, supporting our Corporate, Distribution, Processing, and Aquaculture divisions. You will work closely with the ERP Project Manager to develop and curate content that prepares our team for a successful transition to the new SAP platform.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Development of SAP S/4HANA Training Content:
    • Collaborate with internal and external resources, including subject matter experts, to create easily comprehensible training materials that facilitate knowledge transfer.
    • Ensure all developed content is SCORM compliant for deployment on our Learning Management System.
    • Provide content in multiple languages to accommodate our diverse team.
    • Adopt a blended learning approach, incorporating instructor-led training, virtual sessions, web-based modules, simulations, and quick reference guides.
    • Update existing materials to reflect the latest system enhancements and program modifications.
    • Customize content to meet divisional needs and program recommendations.
  • Training Deployment Strategy:
    • Collaborate with the ERP Project Management Team to strategize training delivery for site-specific implementations and ongoing support.
    • Establish a long-term strategy for onboarding new team members in their SAP responsibilities.
    • Lead 'Train-the-Trainer' sessions and knowledge transfer workshops for Super Users and Subject Matter Experts.
    • Coordinate with the LMS administrator to assign appropriate training based on roles.
    • Design and maintain training curricula for end-user functionality and system updates.
    • Prepare and schedule training in collaboration with the ERP Project Management Team.
    • Implement processes to keep training content current and accurate.
    • Conduct post-training evaluations to measure effectiveness.
  • Training Delivery and Facilitation:
    • Work alongside the training and development team to deliver instructor-led training on-site.
    • Oversee the setup of training environments in conjunction with the technical team.
    • Act as a change management leader, guiding leadership and team members through transitions.
    • Ensure that all training materials remain accessible to team members post-implementation.
    • Empower Power Users at locations to serve as additional resources.
  • Reporting and Governance:
    • Engage with the ERP Steering Committee and leadership to prioritize training goals.
    • Provide training status updates to divisional leadership and the ERP Project Manager.
    • Maintain accurate records of training attendance and evaluations.
    • Identify and address gaps in training resources.
    • Exemplify and promote the Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy of Productivity, Quality, Excellence, and Teamwork.
    • Commit to continuous learning and sharing of knowledge.

Qualifications:
  • Required:
    • BA/BS degree in Education, Business Administration, Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in ERP/SAP training development and delivery.
    • At least 5 years of experience in performance and learning development.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience with Learning Management Systems.
    • At least 2 years of experience in instructional design and content creation, with knowledge of adult learning theories.
    • Experience with Articulate Storyline or similar eLearning tools.
    • Familiarity with ERP implementations.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
    • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to off-site locations as needed.
  • Preferred:
    • Experience with SAP S/4HANA.
    • Experience with Enable Now platform.
    • Prior training experience in Production, Processing, or Manufacturing environments.
    • Project management or leadership experience.
    • Knowledge of food processing and distribution.
    • Familiarity with SABA, Cornerstone, and UltiPro.
    • Experience in Quality and Compliance processes.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Knowledge of sustainable practices within the fishing industry is a plus.
    • Understanding of Pacific Seafood operations and customer relationships is an advantage.
    • Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credential is a plus.
