Position Overview: The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) plays a pivotal role in the healthcare team by employing the nursing process to provide safe, effective, and compassionate care to a designated group of patients. This role emphasizes collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize advanced nursing skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Engage in effective communication with patients and their families to promote understanding and compliance.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Adhere to established nursing standards and regulatory requirements.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Active California RN License.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Certification in NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) within the first six months of employment.
  • Completion of LA City Fire Card within six months of employment.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in an acute care setting.
