Insurance Account Manager

At NBT Bancorp Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Account Manager to join our team. As an Insurance Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing assigned small business accounts, providing exceptional customer service, and identifying opportunities to grow our business.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and service assigned small business accounts, ensuring timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify potential coverage gaps and recommend best offerings to customers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Participate in routine department meetings, providing feedback and suggestions to enhance customer experience and department efficiency.
- Associate degree and 3-year relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Bachelor degree preferred.
- Property & Casualty Broker's license and/or Life, Accident, and Health license or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Excellent verbal and business writing skills, with ability to effectively handle diverse customers and express empathy and concern.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to gain proficiency in effective use of the Agency's management system and technology tools.
- Communicate effectively with internal and/or external customers.
- Stationary 75% of time or greater.
- Move Objects to Maximum 10 lbs.
