Job Title: Behavior Specialist - Intervention and Support

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team at Soliant. As a Behavior Specialist - Intervention and Support, you will play a crucial role in helping students with challenging behaviors achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive functional behavior assessments (FBAs) to identify the underlying causes of challenging behaviors exhibited by students.
  • Develop individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on the findings from the FBA, utilizing evidence-based strategies and techniques.
  • Provide training and support to staff members on the effective implementation of BIPs, ensuring consistent and appropriate interventions.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of BIPs by systematically collecting and analyzing data on student behavior.
  • Collaborate closely with school personnel, parents, and community agencies to ensure the student's unique needs are met and interventions are consistent across environments.
  • Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, offering valuable input on the development of goals and objectives related to behavior management.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in behavior analysis, sharing this knowledge with school staff members to foster continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Valid BCBA credential.
  • Previous experience working with students with disabilities and challenging behaviors in a school setting preferred but not required.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills to effectively collaborate with school personnel, parents, and community agencies.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to special education and behavior management in schools.
