About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Estate and Trust Administrative Paralegal to join our team at Devana Group. As a key member of our estate planning and trust administration team, you will provide administrative support to our attorneys and assist with client communications and document preparation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist attorneys with drafting and reviewing estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
  • Prepare and file probate and trust administration documents with the court.
  • Maintain and organize client files, including managing deadlines and tracking important dates.
  • Communicate with clients, financial institutions, and other parties involved in estate and trust matters.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare summaries for attorneys.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, appointments, and court hearings.
  • Assist with the preparation of tax returns and other financial documents.
  • Handle incoming calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate person.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support the attorneys and clients.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate from an accredited program.
  • 2+ years of experience as an estate and trust paralegal.
  • Strong understanding of estate planning and trust administration processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal research databases.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Experience with tax preparation and filings is a plus.
