Position Summary:
Briefly, Rimon’s support company, has an opening for a Trusts and Estates Paralegal. The candidate will work closely with clients, attorneys, and other paralegals. Responsibilities include all phases of trust administration, estate planning, assisting with estate and gift tax returns, and probate matters. The ideal candidate has prior law office experience, and is collaborative, detail-oriented, organized, and self-sufficient, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Prepare and file probate court documents: Petition to Administer Estate, Guardian ad litem petitions, fiduciary reports/accountings, etc.
- Assist attorneys with the administration of decedent’s trusts and estates; including: marshalling, organizing, and analyzing asset information; valuation of assets and strategize allocation to sub trusts; preparation of inventories, asset allocation agreements, asset transfer documents; researching and drafting grant deeds, trust transfer deeds, etc.
- Draft complete estate plans for attorney review.
- Assist attorneys with the preparation of federal estate tax returns and related filings.
- Set up, maintain, and ensure that files are kept current including classifying, arranging files, filing, and storing information.
- Monitor, prioritize, organize, and facilitate daily workflow in order to meet project deadlines. This includes all administrative tasks including scheduling meetings, calendar management, processing expense reimbursements etc.
- Interact with, and show compassion to, clients who have suffered the loss of a loved one or are under a great deal of stress.

Essential Capabilities
- Advanced knowledge of state and local probate court rules, state and local.
- Basic to intermediate skills with the following programs (or similar programs): West Law Form
- Builder, Data Tree, Bill4Time, One Legal, and iManage.
- Intermediate to advanced skill in the use of software systems: Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat DC, and Power Point.
- Notary public or willing to become one.
- Detail oriented; excellent proofreading skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Education:
- Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate required.
Experience:
- 5-10 years or more experience in trust and estate administration
