The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in supporting the operational integrity of our facilities. This position involves the upkeep, servicing, and repair of various equipment as designated. The technician will actively engage in the preventative maintenance program, addressing guest requests, and managing assigned work orders. Safety and efficiency are paramount, as the technician will also perform skilled trades such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, and more. Driving a shuttle van may be required based on property needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the operation, maintenance, and repair of facility equipment.
  • Replace light bulbs and conduct preventative maintenance in guest rooms, including vinyl repairs, touch-up painting, minor furniture repairs, tub caulking, and tile repairs.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance on ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry facilities, HVAC systems, guest rooms, meeting spaces, and recreational amenities.
  • Perform plumbing repairs, laundry equipment maintenance, and preventative checks on exhaust fans and supplies; monitor energy conservation efforts; repair vacuum cleaners and other small equipment as needed.
  • Respond promptly to alarms to ascertain the exact location and cause; determine emergency status and report findings accordingly.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

  • Realizar reparaciones de plomería, mantenimiento de equipos de lavandería y verificaciones preventivas en extractores y suministros; monitorear esfuerzos de conservación de energía; reparar aspiradoras y otros equipos pequeños según sea necesario.
  • Responder rápidamente a alarmas para determinar la ubicación y causa exactas; determinar el estado de emergencia e informar los hallazgos en consecuencia.
  • Ejecutar tareas adicionales según lo asignado por el supervisor o gerente.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in hospitality or a related field is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Licensure in a relevant trade is preferred (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
  • A valid driver's license for the applicable state is necessary.
  • An acceptable Motor Vehicle Driving Record (MVR) is required, specific to the property.
  • Completion of a one-year college or technical school course; or three to six months of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic knowledge and experience in carpentry, plumbing, mechanical repair, painting, and HVAC systems is preferred.
  • Ability to demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail; monitor own work to ensure quality and apply feedback for improvement.
  • Ability to exhibit flexibility in response to change and adapt to new methods and procedures.
  • Knowledge of safety principles and federal and state OSHA regulations.
