Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to join our leadership team at Hive Group LLC.

Hive Group LLC is a government contractor seeking a seasoned professional to manage professional services contracts from "cradle-to-grave", subcontract management, negotiations, and the application of government contracting methods and regulations, including but not limited to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and Defense Acquisition Regulations (DFARS) and other agency supplements.

This position requires strong business acumen and experience supporting a small business is desirable. The position is virtual, with the ability to attend occasional meetings in Headquarters in McLean, VA is desirable.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Negotiate Company's contracts and subcontracts and participates in all aspects of the procurement process for professional services in support of business development, negotiation, and administration of contracts and subcontracts for government and commercial programs.
  • Manage and is actively involved in the overall contractual support (reviewing, drafting, issuing, negotiation, and interpretation) of a wide range of contractual documents and agreements (prime contracts, contract teaming agreements, subcontracts, NDAs, and commercial agreements).
  • Provide proposal support - review solicitations, identify risks and provide proposal support regarding contractual aspects of the solicitations.
  • Research and interpret government regulations as they apply to the Company's contracts, and advise project managers and other company personnel of the contractual obligations, risks, and compliance matters.
  • Support project accounting functions regarding maintenance of contract and subcontractor files.
  • Support ISO 9001 annual quality management requirements as required.
  • Prepare and submit deliverables to Contracting Offices, customers, and vendor partners as necessary and appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Contracting Office personnel and internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in special projects as required, and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain company small business certifications and representations.
  • Position company to obtain Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) as company grows.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a business field or related degree.
  • A minimum of 8 years of US Federal Government contract management experience working for a Private or Public company, including 3 years of subcontract management.
  • Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS), and other individual agency acquisition regulations.
  • Strong teamwork skills and experience in building strong, positive, and collaborative working relations with both Government contracting personnel and company program management personnel.
  • Strong communications skills (written and oral).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance (US citizenship is a prerequisite).
  • An active Secret Clearance and Unanet experience are a PLUS.
  • Self-driven, motivated, and results oriented.
  • Must be able to work independently on many projects simultaneously in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Strong MS-Office and/or Google Suite skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Docs) in using and developing documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
  • Knowledge of contract reporting.
  • Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) desired, or CFCM or CCCM.
