Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Major and Planned Giving Officer to join our team at Sheppard Pratt. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major gift and planned giving prospects to benefit our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive major and planned giving strategy to meet our fundraising goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, staff, and other stakeholders to identify and cultivate new giving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Vice President and Chief Development Officer to develop and implement fundraising campaigns and events.
  • Provide exceptional stewardship and recognition to donors to ensure long-term relationships and continued support.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in major and planned giving to ensure our fundraising efforts are effective and efficient.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 7-10 years of non-profit fundraising experience, with a focus on major and planned giving.
  • Proven track record of success in major and planned giving, with a strong understanding of donor motivations and behaviors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with donors, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
