Job Title: Continuous Improvement Manager

Adecco Permanent Recruiting, on behalf of our client in the Richmond, VA area, is seeking a highly skilled Continuous Improvement Manager to lead lean transformations and drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive end-to-end lean transformation projects, including planning, implementation, and evaluation phases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities and develop comprehensive lean strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Analyze existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement lean methodologies to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
  • Utilize tools such as value stream mapping, Kaizen events, and 5S to drive process improvements.
  • Act as a change agent to foster a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
  • Provide guidance and support to stakeholders at all levels to ensure buy-in and successful implementation of lean initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on lean principles, tools, and techniques to build capability and empower employees to drive improvement at all levels of the organization.
  • Help establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of lean initiatives. Monitor progress and track performance metrics.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, new trends, and new technologies related to lean methodologies and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years' proven experience leading lean transformations in a manufacturing, supply chain, or service industry environment.
  • Strong understanding of lean principles (VSM, Kaizen, 5S, visual management, and waste reduction).
  • Demonstrated expertise in change management, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and develop data-driven solutions.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
