Objective:

Deliver essential kitchen support for daily meal services in a specialized treatment environment catering to adults. Assist in the timely transportation and serving of meals and snacks to clients. Collaborate with culinary staff in meal preparation and inventory management while adhering to food safety standards.

Goals and Objectives:

  1. Guarantee timely meal service to all clients by ensuring the availability of clean utensils and cookware.
  2. Facilitate efficient kitchen operations in alignment with scheduled meal times, ensuring all areas are reset and prepared for subsequent shifts.
  3. Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  4. Support culinary staff in food preparation to ensure meals and snacks are served punctually.
  5. Ensure the kitchen meets all relevant health standards.

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure the availability of clean utensils by washing dishes, cookware, and flatware, and resetting dining areas.
  2. Prepare the kitchen and dining areas for the next shift by cleaning and restocking as necessary.
  3. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen appliances and equipment.
  4. Manage inventory by unloading and storing deliveries, ensuring proper stock rotation.
  5. Assist in serving meals and snacks to clients and support culinary staff in food preparation.
  6. Provide assistance to culinary staff and other team members as required.
  7. Report any kitchen incidents or violations of food safety protocols.

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

Education:

High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.

Experience:

Minimal prior experience is acceptable.

Strong problem-solving and communication abilities.

Excellent time management skills.

Physical capability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift weights up to 30 pounds.

Compliance with all food safety regulations is mandatory.

Possession of all necessary food handling certifications as mandated by local regulations.

Comfortable working with individuals facing behavioral health challenges.

Compensation:

Hourly rate ranges from $16 to $18.71.
