Clinical Laboratory Scientist II

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Lab Scientist II to contribute to our clinical laboratory operations.

Employment Type: Full Time, Contract

Contract Duration: 6+ Months

Work Schedule: 6:30 AM - 3 PM, Monday to Friday, with rotating weekends or every weekend

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess specimen suitability for analysis
  • Execute technical procedures in accordance with standard operating protocols
  • Oversee and resolve instrumentation issues
  • Make informed technical judgments and address challenges
  • Prepare and assess reagents
  • Accurately and promptly report test findings
  • Conduct maintenance and quality assurance tasks
  • Restock laboratory supplies as needed
  • Assist in the processing of specimens
  • Ensure a safe working environment

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a laboratory leadership or supervisory role is preferred
  • Experience in blood banking is essential
  • Certification from ASCP or AMT is preferred
  • Compliance with flu vaccination requirements

Compensation: $43/hr. - $45/hr. on W2
