The University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) is in search of a dedicated Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).

Situated in downtown Baltimore, the University of Maryland Medical Center is conveniently located near many popular destinations, offering easy access to both urban and natural attractions.
- The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) team consists of Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) who deliver 7-day-a-week and rotating night coverage for pediatric patients facing critical medical and surgical challenges, including those recovering from cardiothoracic surgeries and transplants.
- The Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) plays a vital role in diagnosing and managing patient care in partnership with physician colleagues.
- Providing continuity of care, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) ensures effective communication among the healthcare team, patients, and their families.
- The Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) integrates relevant research and best practices into patient care.
Qualifications
- A Master of Science degree with completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program. Must be registered and licensed with the Maryland Board of Nursing, and certified as a Nurse Practitioner in the relevant specialty. A minimum of one year of pediatric nursing experience is essential.
- Physician Assistant candidates must have successfully completed a PA program and hold a Maryland PA license.
- CRNP Pediatric Acute Care certification is mandatory.
