Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner Manager to join our team at Johns Hopkins University. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to critically ill children in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative and clinical leadership to the PICU team
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Supervise and mentor staff to ensure optimal performance and professional growth
  • Collaborate with the medical director and other stakeholders to achieve unit goals and objectives
  • Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to advance patient care and outcomes
Requirements
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Maryland
  • Current certification as a Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in the state of Maryland
  • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification
  • Three years related experience
  • Master's degree from an accredited school of nursing
Working Conditions

The Nurse Practitioner Manager will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with possible exposure to communicable diseases, hazardous materials, and aggressive patients. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively in a team environment and prioritize tasks to meet the changing needs of the unit.
