Our workforce consists of over 300 exceptional engineers, all collaborating in our innovative San Francisco office, which has a rich history as a shipbuilding site during the World Wars.
Our satellites, operating from geostationary orbit (GEO), weigh just 400 kg and utilize a proprietary software-defined radio payload. Each satellite has the capacity to connect over two million individuals, and we are eager to witness the positive impact we will have in regions such as the Philippines, Peru, and Mexico.

Position: Supplier Quality Intern
Internships at Astranis are typically structured for a duration of twelve weeks and are hourly positions aimed at students currently enrolled in a four-year university program.
The Supplier Quality Engineering Intern will engage in addressing quality challenges with suppliers, implement new processes, and assist in the daily operations of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify root causes of quality issues and collaborate with suppliers and Design Engineers to implement corrective actions.
- Establish metrics for the Supplier Quality Engineering organization.
- Monitor supplier performance and create reporting mechanisms to track and communicate performance metrics.
- Develop inspection protocols.
- Support the development of processes.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, supply chain, or a related field.
- Proven ability to analyze and resolve complex issues.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- U.S. Citizenship or Green Card required due to U.S. export regulations.
- Experience in hardware manufacturing.
- Familiarity with quality management systems.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and data sheets.
Note: U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status is required for this position due to compliance with U.S. Government space technology export regulations.
