This role exists to serve our members at the Daphne Branch in Daphne, Alabama. As a Member Service Representative-Lender, you will be responsible for providing members with an exceptional service experience within the framework of the Alabama Credit Union Shared Values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist members with loan requests, with authority to approve loans up to predetermined maximum amounts.
  • Explain lending products and services available and make recommendations based on approved loan amounts.
  • Prepare and close member loans within established guidelines and procedures.
  • Onboard members, respond to problems, cross-sell products and services, and direct members to appropriate resources when necessary.
  • Assist members with financial transactions, including paying and receiving cash, IRAs, and other negotiable instruments.
  • Serve as a branch leader in the branch manager's absence.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office products and web-based applications.
  • Superior knowledge of loan products and IRAs, including extensive knowledge of regulations.
  • Ability to describe and sell products and services to members.
  • Ability to change focus efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Desire to help others in the community.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One to three years of similar or related experience in a credit union or bank environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of Spectrum and Teller and Lender Advantage.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
