This position involves both in-person and telephonic interactions, where the coordinator is responsible for the initial patient engagement and data collection necessary for seamless service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greets and assists patients during their registration process, whether in person or over the phone. Utilizes various tools and protocols to facilitate patient check-in, which includes gathering demographic and insurance details, providing necessary forms, and securing essential documentation.
  • Collects co-payments and outstanding balances, ensuring all necessary signatures are obtained. Addresses inquiries related to financial assistance programs and participates in the daily reconciliation of transactions.
  • Organizes and maintains the patient care lobby, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment. This includes regular sanitization of surfaces and equipment, restocking supplies, and managing informational resources such as brochures.
  • May assist in scheduling appointments and handling other administrative tasks, including answering phone calls and relaying messages as needed. Actively participates in team meetings and contributes to a collaborative work environment.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned to support the overall operations of the clinic.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum age of 18 with relevant education or experience to fulfill the required competencies.
  • At least one year of basic computer proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of an Associate's or Vocational degree.
  • Up to two years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Up to two years of experience in customer service or a business office setting.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Primarily sedentary work with occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs.
