Job Summary

As a crucial member of our Construction team, the Group Operations Manager holds significant responsibility for fostering the growth and direction of a team of Project Managers, Engineers, and Technicians. Anticipated to allocate 25-40% of time to supervisory duties, the incumbent will also engage in hands-on project work for the remaining duration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Control System Design and Programming
  • Ensure proper engineering, start up, commissioning, and closeout of assigned projects
  • Assist in development/management of department initiatives
  • Overall fiscal responsibility of assigned projects
  • Overall labor planning for group
  • Ensure assigned projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Participate in quartile goal reviews with direct reports
  • Participate in performance appraisals
  • Support training and development plans for direct reports
Requirements
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work well within a team in both leadership and support roles
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with electronics and basic electrical circuits
  • Knowledge of DDC (direct digital control) Theory and Applications
  • Ability to work independently and unsupervised
  • Proficiency in ACAD
  • Robust programming skills
  • Proven analytical skills
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This position requires a combination of working in an office environment and routine visits to project jobsites up to 60% of working hours. Project jobsites present typical construction and outdoor conditions that require the use of personal protective equipment for safety purposes.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Annual base salary ranges from $82,000 - $132,000 depending on experience

  • Local travel required with infrequent out-of-state travel
Credentials and Experience
  • AA degree in applied technology and/or undergraduate degree preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Computer programming experience
  • Building Mechanical System and Troubleshooting experience
  • 5+ years industry experience (minimum)
